The Friends have been investigating the possibility of being classified as a Charity with the main benefit being that all our subscriptions could attract the Gift Aid bonus. This would mean that we could increase our support for the Bishop on a regular basis. We have all the necessary forms, rules and regulations, but need someone with a legal background to help us complete the forms correctly and submit the application. It was so encouraging to see so many of the new Friends’ Badge being worn at All Hallows in London at the AGM on 1st August. If you still don’t have a badge they are available from the secretary, Mary Banfield, at a cost of just £1 each. If you would like one (or more) please write to Mary enclosing £1 per badge. If you are ordering from a UK address, please enclose a SAE. Overseas orders, please add a small sum for postage.
