The Ayia Napa Family
continues to worship at the Scandinavian church during the winter months
and at the Ayia Napa Monastery during the summer months. The open-air
services attract visitors each Sunday, many of them tourists of all
nationalities.
The Sunday bus service that enabled many to attend church was
discontinued in November and replaced by a group of volunteers who
regularly pick up and drop off. Anyone who has a problem getting to
church on a Sunday can arrange a lift through a central point of
contact.
The "Christianity Explored" course has proved highly successful and has
attracted many non-members, giving them an insight into who Jesus is and
what it means to follow Him. During the week a small number of people
meet for Prayer Hour in addition to the use of a prayer chain. Midweek
fellowship can be found at the coffee mornings and home groups. A
Saturday home group caters for the needs of the guest workers who are
often not allowed time off on Sundays to attend church.
