Diocesan Prayer Fellowship

Canterbury Group

28th October 2007
The Last Sunday after Trinity

Monday: Simon and Jude, Apostles
Thursday: All Saints Day

As we celebrate the feast of Christ the Kind, and also the Feast of All Saints we expatriates have a wonderful opportunity to understand what it means to be Citizens of Heaven, and subjects to our King, even though we are living in temporary dislocation from our ultimate home in heaven.  Let us all rejoice in the reminder that our citizenship in heaven is a privileged status in our travels through this earth, and continue to pray for the grace to live up to the fullness of God's glory that shines through who we are as His people.

Please remember the Canterbury Search Committee as they seek discernment in the calling of an associate rector to lead us all into the future ministry God is unfolding in our midst.  Please pray also for the many new expats coming to the area, that finding a spiritual home in this place may be God's great surprise for them.  Let us all give thanks for the more relaxed atmosphere which gives more and more people courage to seek us out for participation in fellowship and worship.
