SUNDAY - MARCH 30TH The Second Sunday of Easter |
The Anglican Church of South East Cyprus in Ayia Napa: The Reverend
Michael and Jacqueline Crawford. We ask our friends within the
Diocese to join in our prayers. All this week we shall focus
on the daily readings for the week and pray into the issues raised. Sunday meetings and social lunches Acts. 2:22-32 today's NT reading is part of Peter's speech at Pentecost. Our prayer today is that we as a church body may speak like him and concentrate on the essentials; the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. May those around us receive from us the clear message of salvation won for us by Jesus. |
|
MONDAY - MARCH 31ST The Annunciation of our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary (transferred from March 25th) |
Monday Bible Studies - part of
our Discipleship program Luke 1:26-38 tells about young Mary. She was set aside for a very special task. And her response? 'I am the Lord's servant' In other words, even though she may well have been scared or doubtful, she simply said 'yes' to God. Please pray for us that we may, each one of us, respond to God in the same way. |

The Reverend Michael and Jacqueline
Crawford. Psalm 34:1-8 'I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.' The psalmist can praise God always. Let us all join in prayer today that we might do the same. |

Praise and Prayer Hour, Men's Pool
competition, Thursday Bible Study - part of our Discipleship
program Acts 5:27-33 Again Peter speaks up. 'We must obey God, rather than men!' Help us pray today that we might follow his example and care about folk outside the church and be 'witnesses to these things' |
|
FRIDAY - APRIL 4TH |
Men's breakfast, ladies lunch John 6:1-15 There are thousands of English speaking people living in South East Cyprus who know nothing of Jesus. Our prayer today focuses on the enormity of the mission set before us. Jesus fed the multitudes, may we reach as many as He. |
| SATURDAY - APRIL 5TH |
Saturday Social Acts.6:1-7 The choosing of the seven. In order to allow the full ministry of the church to go forward, Deacons were selected. We pray with joy and thanksgiving for all those serving within the church. May each and every one realize their own potential in Gospel Ministry. |
|
We beseech
thee, O Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts, that, as we have known the incarnation of thy son Jesus Christ by the message of an angel, so by his cross and passion we may be brought into the glory of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
|
|
O
heavenly Father, who has bestowed on us the comfort of earhly friends: look in love upon those dear to us from whom we are separated. Protect them and keep them from harm; prosper and bless them in all good things; suffer them never to be desolate or afraid, and let no shadow come between them and us to divide our hearts; but in your own good time may we renew the comfort of sight and sound; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |

We thank you for sailors, soldiers and airmen from around the world and that they may perform their duties with a true sense of commitment to one another and to those around them whom they serve. Grant them wisdom, Lord, to defend the oppressed, the weak and the poor, whilst at the same time doing their duties as are demanded of them. Comfort those who suffer, grant peace in your heavenly kingdom to those who die in the exercise of their duties and comfort to those who mourn the death of their loved ones, who often die far from home Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. |
