Epiphany
The Province of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and The Middle East was formed on 6th January 1976 from the former Archbishopric in Jerusalem. It covers the lands of the Bible and the countries in which Judaism, Christianity and Islam were born. It isa meeting place of ancient and modern civilisations and cultures, in a region where, apart from Cyprus, the religion of Islam predominates.
MONDAY - JANUARY 7TH The Diocese of Jerusalem includes Jerusalem, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria.Many pilgrims visit Jerusalem and the Holy Land.While St George’s Cathedral, Guest House and College have particular roles in ministering to them, all the congregations bear witness to the “livingstones” of the land,  persisting and faithful despite
many pressures.
TUESDAY - JANUARY 8TH The Diocese of Iran continues its life and asks for
the love and prayers of the whole Church in its faithful
witness.
WEDNESDAY - JANUARY 9TH The Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa includes Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia/Somaliland.
There are indigenous congregations in Egypt with mainly expatriate congregations in the other parts of the diocese.
THURSDAY - JANUARY 10TH The Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf includes Cyprus, Iraq, the Gulf States, Yemen and the whole Arabian Peninsula. In every part of the diocese, except in Cyprus, the congregations are expatriate, with many
Christians from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and the African continent.

THURSDAY - JANUARY 24TH Pray for a baptism booked for today; for the preparation of the Friday and Sunday Services; for all the congregations meeting for worship each
