Sunday 23rd - Monday 31st
SUNDAY -  MARCH 2ND
The Fourth Sunday of Lent
Mothering Sunday
The Epiphany, Qatar: The Reverend Canon Bill and Edith Schwartz. Give thanks for the formal registration of the Church in Qatar, and the ability to
openly gather Christians for worship and fellowship.  Pray that it will be increasingly easy for Christians to participate in worship, teaching and sacrament, to the mutual edification of the whole Church.  Pray for the urgent task of raising funds needed
MONDAY - MARCH 3RD Pray for the urgent task of raising funds needed to build the church, in an economy showing 30% inflation in building costs per year.
TUESDAY - MARCH 4TH Pray for the building of relationships with the many groups of Protestants worshiping in Qatar, with a view toward the future when worship space will be shared once the church compound is built.
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 5TH The Epiphany congregation is a true reflection of the political, racial and denominational backgrounds which make up Christianity of the Reformation.  Rejoice in the common purpose shared in building a
community of faith which appreciates diversity, while emphasizing the rich resource of prayer and liturgy of historical Christianity. Pray that all can fully appreciate what they can each bring to the fellowship of the Body of Christ
THURSDAY - MARCH 6TH Pray for the marriage ministry and give thanks for the wonderful opportunity to work with many couples seeking marriage.
FRIDAY - MARCH 7TH Pray that many who do not normally participate in the life of the church will respond to the call to worship represented in the sacrifice and gift of Jesus that we remember this season.
SATURDAY - MARCH 8TH For many years the congregation has enjoyed the hospitality of the Doha English Speaking School which has lent its auditorium for worship twice every week with unstinting cooperation and facilitation.  Remember the staff and board of governors with prayers of thanks for all that makes it possible for the church to function fully.
Most merciful God,
who by the death and resurrection
of your Son Jesus Christ delivered and saved the world:
grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross
we may triumph in the power of his victory;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Acts. 2:22-32 today's NT reading is part of Peter's speech at Pentecost. Our prayer today is that we as a church body may speak like him and concentrate on the essentials; the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. May those around us receive from us the clear message of salvation won for us by Jesus.
MONDAY - MARCH 31ST
The Annunciation of our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary (transferred from March 25th)
Monday Bible Studies - part of our Discipleship program
Luke 1:26-38 tells about young Mary. She was set aside for a very special task. And her response? 'I am the Lord's servant' In other words, even though she may well have been scared or doubtful, she simply said 'yes' to God. Please pray for us that we may, each one of us, respond to God in the same way.
