Diocesan Prayer Fellowship

Nicosia

7th October, 2007
The Eighteenth Sunday after Trinity

Since the last Prayer book we have welcomed our new Families Minister Chris Hertzog, his wife DeAnn and children Colson, Cameron and Caly.  Chris and family have come to us from working in Germany for five years although they are Americans.  Do please lift Chris and DeAnn's work to the Lord in prayer as they begin this challenging but exciting work.

Sue Place has been on a three month placement in Exeter as well as attending St. John's College Nottingham as part of her ongoing theological training.  We will be very happy to have her back in our midst by the time you are reading this in October.

Like so many of the Chaplaincies in the Diocese we will once again have been saying goodbye to many people over the summer months.  We pray for the happiness of all those who have departed and we ask you to pray for them and for any persons who have joined us recently.

Over the weekend, 5th-7th October we will be having an ecumenical teaching weekend led by LT Jeychandrin and LT will be preaching in church on the Sunday morning.  Do please also remember this event in your times of prayer.

God be in my head, and in my understanding;
God be in mine eyes, and in my looking;
God be in my mouth, and in my speaking;
God be in my heart, and in my thinking;
God be at mine end, and at my departing
