The Right Reverend Michael Lewis retired as Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf on 8 June 2023.

The process of appointing a new diocesan bishop is underway. In the interim, Archbishop Hosam Naoum, Primate of the Province, serves as acting diocesan bishop.
