The Very Reverend Richard Fermer, Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral in Bahrain, celebrated his final service at the Cathedral last night—a Lucernarium for Peace.
The candlelit service drew together members of the St Christopher’s Cathedral and Awali congregations, and a wide range of ecumenical, interfaith and diplomatic representatives in a celebration of Dean Richard’s ministry, and Bahrain’s vision of peaceful co-existence.
After the service, the Reverend Franklin Isaac led tributes to Dean Richard and Giseli—with sadness at their departure and gratitude for Fr Richard’s ministry.
The Tamil Congregation presented gifts and sang a song of blessing for Richard and Giseli. Supper was followed by dancing, in true St Christopher’s style. (Click on an image below to enlarge photo)
