Manisha Cornelius sends news of a joyful start to Advent at Christ Church Jebel Ali:

What a magical evening it was, as the parishioners of Christ Church Jebel Ali came together to kick off the first Sunday of Advent with our much-loved Carol Rounds!

With hearts full of excitement, we hopped onto a brightly lit bus, ready to travel across town and bring the joy of Christmas into every home we visited. We began our journey in the evening and continued all the way till 2am, carried by festive cheer and the spirit of togetherness.

As the bus rolled through the city, it was filled with the sound of laughter, singing, dancing and incredible fellowship—a moving celebration of community and faith.

Each home we visited welcomed us with such warmth, and together we sang the beautiful, traditional carols that remind us of the hope and light that Advent brings. Voices young and old blended in harmony, turning every stop into a moment of true Christmas spirit.

We were especially blessed to have Father Jim Young, our parish priest, join the rounds. His cheerful presence, warm smiles and joyful singing added an extra sparkle to the evening and brought so much encouragement to everyone on board.
