The new Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally, referred at her Installation on Wednesday to the ongoing conflict in the Gulf and wider Middle East, lamenting that “some of our Anglican brothers and sisters” were unable to attend the service because of the war. “We pray for them without ceasing,” she said, “and for all those in war-torn areas of the world.”
