It is with great joy that Bishop Sean shares news of two forthcoming ordinations in the Diocese—that of Henry Ikediego, to the diaconate, and of the Reverend Maria Evangelou, to the priesthood.

Henry has been attending St Mark Famagusta in northern Cyprus for more than a decade, serving as lay caretaker and administrator for the mainly student congregation. Bishop Sean will ordain Henry to the diaconate on 6 June 2026 at St Mark’s.

Reverend Maria is currently Community Outreach Coordinator in the Archdeaconry of Cyprus. She is to be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Sean on 5 September 2026, at St Paul’s Cathedral in Nicosia.
