All-Africa lunch at St Paul’s

St Paul’s Cathedral deanery in Nicosia hosted a pan-African lunch yesterday—a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a diverse congregation and indulge in some delicious food, including groundnut chicken from West Africa, a spicy lamb dish from Sudan, chapatis from Uganda and ugali from Kenya.

“Lunch was followed by some very spontaneous dancing,” said locum the Reverend Chris Butt—”a Scottish Circassian Circle and Jerusalema.”

The African student community makes up a significant part of the congregation of St Paul’s, and three members of the Cathedral choir come from African countries.
