Bishop Sean and Jenny joined the congregation of St George’s Cathedral in Jerusalem for Palm Sunday Eucharist, led by Archbishop Hosam Naoum.

“The Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf was prayed for,” said Bishop Sean, “as we prayed for all God’s people in our region to be peacemakers and reconcilers.”

Bishop Sean and Jenny are on a solidarity visit to sister Diocese of Jerusalem. Palm Sunday events included joining local Christians and pilgrims gathered for procession on the Mount of Olives. Canon Don Binder, Chaplain to Archbishop Hosam and Canon Pastor of the English-speaking congregation of St George’s, shared video greetings from the procession.

The message refers also to devastating news of an overnight attack on the Ahli Hospital, run by the Diocese of Jerusalem, and calls for the support of Christians around the world to bring a halt to the violence.
