At a service of Evensong at the Cathedral Church of St George the Martyr in Jerusalem on Epiphany Sunday, Bishop Sean was installed as an Episcopal Canon in the Stall of Mt Tabor. Archbishop Hosam officiated, in the presence of Bishops from the Episcopal Church in the USA and local clergy from the Diocese of Jerusalem and their spouses. The service was followed by a reception in honour of Bishop Sean and assembled guests.

Bishop Sean described his installation as a deep honour—for him and for the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf, deepening the bonds of affection and mutual support between the dioceses.

Services at St George’s on Epiphany Sunday initiated a Year of Jubilee marking 50 years since the establishment of the Episcopal Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East and its constituent Dioceses of Jerusalem, Cyprus and the Gulf, and Iran.
