With 11 parish churches around the island, the beautiful historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, located in the vibrant capital of Nicosia is the hub of Anglican life in Cyprus.

The Venerable Paul Carr

Anglican Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf

The Venerable Paul Carr was collated Archdeacon in Cyprus in 2025. He also serves as Paphos parish priest–a role he assumed in January 2024. He previously served in the Diocese of Chelmsford in England, where he worked as a training incumbent and team rector.

Ordained in 1997, Paul has an MA in missional leadership and has significant experience in growing church numbers and engaging with the wider community. He has also served in the Diocese of Chester and in East London, as well as working in the Prison Service prior to his ordination.

Paul is married to Paula, and they have two adult children, Ben and Annabel.
