As the Orthodox Church of Cyprus mourns the death of its Primate, Archbishop Chrysostomos II, who died early on Monday, 7 November 2022, Archbishop Michael Lewis sends the following message of condolence to the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church.
In the name of the Most Holy Trinity.
As Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf and as Primate of the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East, and on behalf of the whole Anglican community in the Republic of Cyprus, I offer my deepest condolences to the Church of Cyprus on the death of His Beatitude Chrysostomos II.
We pray for his eternal repose with the saints in glory.
The souls of the righteous are in the hands of God.
