Archbishop Mitja Leskovar, Apostolic Nuncio (Papal ambassador) to the Republic of Iraq, received the warmest of welcomes when he visited St George Baghdad on 29 March.

Archbishop Mitja was greeted by parish priest Father Faiz, and shown around the church. He was also taken to see the clinic, as well as the school—St George’s Anglican School of the Redeemer (Al Fadi), sharing in the joy of the work done there.

They were joined by lay assistant Sinan Kakarash.
