The president of Autism Support Famagusta, Chryso Prodromou, today (20 February) welcomed the Reverend George Vidiakin on a visit to the Smile Project—a centre supporting autistic people and their families, based in Sotira in Cyprus.
Ms Prodromou shared the inspiring story of the charity’s work and impact, introducing Fr George to some of the individuals making use of the centre’s services, and to its volunteers.
Witnessing at firsthand the dedication and compassion that make the centre so vital, George was honoured to deliver a donation on behalf of Christ Church Ayia Napa, reinforcing the church’s commitment to stand alongside those who make a real difference in people’s lives.
“A project like this is not just a place of care,” said Fr George. “It is a beacon of hope for the whole area, and reminds us that true community is built when we embrace, uplift and empower each person to flourish.”
Christ Church Ayia Napa looks forward to further strengthening its links with Autism Support Famagusta, supporting their work and together striving for a more inclusive community.
