St Paul’s celebrates its Dean

Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral in Nicosia on Holy Wednesday marked the forthcoming departure of the Very Reverend Jeremy Crocker, giving thanks for the Dean’s decade of service for the people of St Paul’s and the wider community.

Dean Jeremy is to leave St Paul’s as of 20 April 2025, to assume the post of Associate Minister at St Luke’s Church in Battersea, London.

The Cathedral congregation welcomed British High Commissioner Michael Tatham, Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland Conor Long, and representatives from the Greek Embassy and the Consulate of Canada—Eleni Bisbikopoulouand Spyros Kallis—as well as members of Diocesan clergy and ecumenical partners on the island.

Members of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra provided musical accompaniment as guests arrived, and the service was followed by a reception.

Bishop Sean last week announced that Dean Jeremy was to hold the title Dean Emeritus on relinquishing his post at St Paul’s, thanking him for his “distinguished ministry in this Diocese”.
