Welcome back, Revd Navina!

Bishop Sean and the council of St Helena Larnaca are pleased to announce the selection of the Reverend Navina Thompson as parish priest. She will be licensed on 2 February 2026 at the Synod Opening Eucharist, at St Christopher’s Cathedral in Bahrain.

Revd Navina is returning to the Diocese from London, where she has been serving as associate rector at St Mary Norwood Green and as a bank hospital chaplain at London North West University Trust, mainly ministering at Ealing Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital — having previously served in Cyprus as assistant priest in the parish of Ammochostos and student chaplain for St Mark Famagusta.

She and her husband, the Reverend Andy Thompson, also served for a number of years at St Andrew Abu Dhabi, where he was parish priest.

Navina has diplomas in Theological Studies from the Near East School of Theology in Beirut, and in Discipleship and Ministry from Queen’s College, Newfoundland—a programme run in association with the Diocese.
