Former Secretary of the UK Friends of the Diocese, Anne Lloyd, features in a story published today by the BBC (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgmy00ly79ko).

Anne is now a Chelsea Pensioner—as residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea Old Soldiers’ retirement home in London are known. The home provides accommodation and care for former members of the British Army.

An article in The Times newspaper notes that Anne “enlisted as clerical support in 1963 and was posted to Aden, Yemen. She met her husband in the service, and they had postings all across the world together.”
