Imam Shakir Alemdar last night welcomed Bishop Sean and the Reverend Navina Thompson to share iftar at Hala Sultan Tekke, a mosque on the banks of the Salt Lake in Larnaca, Cyprus. They were honoured to be joined by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Nikolay Zhumakanov, and his wife Assima, for a wonderful evening of warm conversation and generous hospitality.

Hala Sultan Tekke is a beautiful and important site of Muslim pilgrimage, and it was particularly special to be part of such a diverse group of guests gathered there in friendship, as Ramadan comes to a close.
