The Reverend Håkan Holmlund, recently appointed priest at the Scandinavian Church in Ayia Napa, met Bishop Vasilios of Constantia-Ammochostos on Friday, accompanied by church administrator Camilla Lindström-Asprou and the Reverend George Vidiakin, parish priest of Christ Church Ayia Napa. 
Bishop Vasilios warmly welcomed Revd Håkan as the new Lutheran minister in the area, and was interested to hear Mrs Lindström-Asprou’s overview of the work of the Scandinavian Church for the district and local Scandinavian community.
Bishop Vasilios then led the visitors in viewing an exhibition of historical artefacts from the churches of the diocese.
“Revd Håkan and I expressed our gratitude to Bishop Vasilios for his warm hospitality,” said Fr George. “Ecumenical meetings like this are important, and an honour for the Lutheran and Anglican congregations.”
