The Reverend Christine Mbona was ordained to the priesthood in a service led by Bishop Sean at St Paul Ahmadi in Kuwait on 30 May 2025.
Revd Christine is associate priest at St Paul’s and was ordained deacon in 2023–the first African woman to be ordained in the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf.
In 2024 she took the lead in establishing the Diocesan Mothers’ Union, of which she is president and Pauline Mitra co-president, with Bishop Sean as patron.
