Archbishop Michael is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Dr Richard Fermer as the next Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral, Manama, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

For the last ten years Fr Richard has been priest in charge of the Grosvenor Chapel, a parish church in Mayfair, London, serving a mixed congregation from many backgrounds. A qualified teacher, he was formed for the priesthood at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield, Yorkshire and began ordained ministry in Palmers Green.  His subsequent international experience has included time with USPG in Brazil and a period of service at St George’s in Paris.

He and his wife Giseli expect to move to Bahrain towards the end of January. A date for his institution and installation there will be announced soon.
