The Bible Society of Cyprus held its AGM today at the Archbishopric in Nicosia, bringing together representatives of the Orthodox, Evangelical and Armenian communities, with the Reverend George Vidiakin representing the Anglican community. The meeting was chaired by Bishop Nektarios of Kition.
Bishop Sean nominated Fr George as Anglican representative earlier this year, replacing Canon Georgia Katsantonis.
Members reviewed 2025 financial accounts and heard updates on mission work and other ongoing activities.
“It is a privilege to participate in the work of the Bible Society alongside our brothers and sisters from other Christian traditions in Cyprus,” says Fr George. “The Holy Scripture is at the heart of our faith regardless of denominational identity. By working together, we share in Christ’s mission of making the Word of God accessible to everyone.”
