Fr Alec for Kyrenia

Archbishop Michael is pleased to announce that Fr Alec Mitchell has been appointed to be a licensed House for Duty priest at St Andrew Kyrenia.

Fr Alec, after a number of years in Baptist ministry, held a variety of Anglican posts in and around Manchester. After eight years in Ashton-under-Lyne he became parish priest of St Anne Haughton for a further eleven. Additionally and while serving those churches he worked as Manchester Diocese’s racial justice officer. Recently he and his wife Linda have been living in Holyhead.

They are expected to arrive in Cyprus in May. The archbishop plans to license him at St Andrew’s on Sunday 4 June. Pray for Alec and Linda as well as the people of Kyrenia and northern Cyprus.
