Archbishop Michael has been pleased to appoint the Revd Patrick Salvage, SSM (self-supporting minister) Deacon in Doha, to join the Ministry Team. This follows the acceptance of the guidelines for SSM ministry at Synod. Patrick will bring much wisdom and experience to this work. In the Ministry Team he will be working alongside – the Revd Canon Dr John Holdsworth (Director of Ministry), Dr Angel Afolabi (Warden of Readers), the Revd Canon Dr Paul Burt, the Revd Canon Harrison Chinnakumar (assistant vocations adviser), the Venerable Christopher Futcher (vocations adviser), the Revd Kent Middleton (chaplain to the learning community), Helen Perry (ministry administrator). The Ministry Team, on behalf of the diocesan bishop, oversees and organises vocational discernment, theological education, training and placements, the summer school and ongoing learning.
